Common questions

What formats are supported?

Each memory has a title, rich-text body, date or year, tag pills, and links to one or more people in your tree. Photos attached to your photo collection can be associated with a memory as well.

Can I feature specific memories to make them stand out?

Yes. Toggle the "Featured" flag on any memory and it will display with a gold border and gradient background, pinned at the top of your memories list so your most important stories are always front and center.

How are memories organized?

Memories are organized by person (visible on each linked person's profile) and can be browsed sorted by Newest First, Oldest First, or Title A–Z. Tags let you filter by theme, decade, or family branch. Full-text search finds any memory by title or story text.

Can I add memories for deceased relatives?

Yes. Memories can be added to any person in your tree, whether they are living or deceased. There is no restriction — preserving memories of those who have passed is one of the core use cases.

Are memories backed up?

Yes. All memory content — text and linked photos — is stored on Firebase and synced across all your devices automatically. Backups are maintained with redundancy.
